MY SOLO STUFF
I live in Melbourne, the most locked-down city in the world. As such, I suddenly found the time and (head)space to get back to creating music. Performing as I was in the ‘before times’ some six-to-nine+ times a week, it was genuinely hard to find inspiration. In the twelve months to October 2021 however, I recorded and released seven songs. (Yes, I know there’s nine pieces of cover art here – one’s both an acoustic and full band version (City Lights), and the other (Mondegreen) is Yet-To-Be-Released, so far only heard by my beloved Patreon subscribers.)
My Music Online
I love being in the studio. I love every part of the process, from the “let’s just get this down” approach, to the opposite end of the spectrum, painstakingly narrowing down on every minutiae to get it “just right”. It’s sometimes harrowing, frustrating, and mind-bending make no mistake…
but at the end of it all, it’s always joyous.
(I don’t believe that this an exhaustive list, by the way – shockingly often I’m reminded of a project on which I worked, or a collab of which I was a part. It’s a failing of my head not my heart that perhaps not everything I’ve done over the journey is represented here.)
